Fresh install on Lion : bugs

I just installed directly 3.6.1 (I used Kairon some years ago and was pleased to see it's alive and kicking 
After the install, when I launch kairon it shows up its pref windows (must be noted that it opens TWO prefs windows), and it doesn"t matter if I change some prefs or not, when I click apply/OK , kairon becomes "dumb" :
- the prefs and registration menu are greyed out
- if I click on "New", it does nothing
- if I try to open an old kairon file, it does nothing either
