I'm still having trouble getting an accurate progression. I was born May 25/43 and my progressed date is now Aug 2/43 which moves the Sun to 7 degrees Leo. If I type nothing in -- just set the birthday button and the go ahead in time button -- I get my natal positions. If I type in today's date the Sun moves to 5 Sagittarius. If I type in Aug 2/43 the Sun moves to 27 Virgo.

Sigh. What am I doing or not doing???

you are not supposed to type in a date... best you use the steppers and you immediately will understand what is going on.
